Massage Therapist

Welcome

Wendy McVicar, B.A., R.M.T.

With over 24 years clinical experience in massage therapy, clients can be assured of professional quality care. Massage therapy helps to promote, maintain and restore health and well-being. It increases circulation and range of motion, while decreasing inflammation, pain and stress. It relaxes and revitalizes tired or injured muscles and promotes postural awareness and restful sleep. It is used to treat back, neck and extremity pain, headaches, overuse injuries, sports injuries, arthritis and whiplash. Massage is also helpful in pregnancy, with cancer patients and in palliative and post-operative care.

Whether the client is 9 or 90 years of age, the massage is tailored to the person's needs and goals, pain threshold, general health and experience with massage or other paths to self-awareness. Wendy believes that the session should be a seamless blend of relaxation and treatment-focused work, where art, science and good palpation skills meet.
